The City of Macedonia is proud to recognize Ares Combat Sports Academy as its March Business of the Month.

Owned and operated by Dave O. Graf, Ares Combat Sports Academy has been serving the community for more than 11 years. Established in 2015 and located at 420 East Highland Road in Macedonia, the academy has become a premier destination for mixed martial arts training and athletic development for students of all ages.

Graf’s journey in martial arts began early—his parents first introduced him to karate, sparking what would become a lifelong passion. With 43 years of experience in mixed martial arts and combat sports, Graf has developed extensive expertise across multiple disciplines and currently holds five black belts in various combat sports. Over the years, he has also had the opportunity to work with champion fighters, bringing a high level of knowledge and professional experience to his academy.

At Ares Combat Sports Academy, students benefit from a training environment that emphasizes hands-on learning and knowledge-based instruction. The academy offers a wide range of programs including mixed martial arts, boxing, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, MMA functional fitness, wrestling, and self-defense. Programs are available for youth, teens, and adults.

Beyond martial arts, Graf and his team work with athletes from a variety of sports, helping them enhance their performance through specialized training that improves speed, strength, discipline, and work ethic. Whether someone is stepping onto the mat for the first time or looking to sharpen competitive skills, the academy’s goal is simple: to help every student become faster, stronger, and better.
